D-BOX Adds More Motion to Movie Theatre

The stars get all the cool toys...D-BOX Technologies announced the installation of 15 additional motion seats at the Mann Chinese 6 Theatre in Hollywood, California.

In an effort to meet the high demand and prepare for the active summer movie season, the Mann Chinese 6 Theatre, which was the first movie theatre to unveil D-BOX's Motion technology in April 09, is installing an additional row of Motion Systems in auditorium six of its theatre, bringing the total number of seats to 30.

Adding a completely new dimension to movie viewing, D-BOX's motion-enhanced seats provide a realistic, immersive experience utilizing refined, subtle movements that work in perfect sync with the onscreen action. Typically taking more than 300 hours of labor, D-BOX Motion Designers custom code each movie, frame by frame, designing an unmatched moviegoing event for audiences.

D-BOX is currently in five U.S cinemas - the Mann Chinese 6 in Hollywood, California; UltraStar Cinemas in Surprise Point, Arizona; Mall of America Theatres in Bloomington, Minnesota;, Galaxy Highland Theatres in Austin, Texas and most recently, Galaxy Cannery in Las Vegas, Nevada and the first in Canada, Cineplex Odeon Queensway, These two latest locations are scheduled to debut to the public this summer.
