AMD Decides to End ATI Brand Name

AMD has decided to end the ATI brand name. AMD believes the names of its graphics chip products, such as Radeon and FirePro, in combination with the AMD brand, are familiar enough to consumers to stand on their own.
According to AMD's own research in markets from around the world, it came to the following three conclusions:
- AMD preference triples with respondent is aware of ATI-AMD merger
- AMD brand [is] stronger than ATI vs. graphics competitors
- Radeon and FirePro brand awareness and consideration [is] very high
